I had some misadventures on the trails.
-
Acceleration on the Mountain - While driving up a mountain in Washington, my car got stuck in a curved area with large stones. I had to reverse and accelerate multiple times to try to get unstuck. Reflecting on it now, it was reckless to accelerate on a curve in the middle of a mountain. Fortunately, the car did not roll forward.
-
Stuck in Muddy Off-Road - While driving a Jeep off-road in Texas, I became stuck in a marshy area and big boulders. It took several attempts of accelerating and reversing to free the vehicle.
-
Encounter with Lizards - There was a trail in a remote area of Texas, filled with lizards roaming around everywhere. I carefully placed my feet to avoid stepping on them but eventually gave up and returned to my car, driving away quickly to ensure no lizards got caught on and underneath.
-
Lost in the Forest - On a trail in Washington, I somehow veered off the path and deep into the forest. After realizing I was lost, I tried to retrace my steps and spotted a few people in the distance. I walked towards them and ended up on the edge of a nearly dried-up river. I followed the riverbank until I found some large rocks, climbed up, and eventually located the trail again.
-
Lost on the Trail - I started on a small trail but missed a turn onto a loop and continued straight. When I realized my mistake, it was too late to turn back because a snake had appeared behind me. I kept moving forward as the trail curved down toward the river. After a while, I encountered a firefighter who guided me back to safety. Finally, I reached the main road and walked toward the visitor center.
-
Mistaken Trail - I began on one trail and inadvertently followed another connected trail. The second trail was longer, and I was unfamiliar with both its beginning and end. After a lengthy trek, I finally arrived at a parking lot, but it took me an additional half hour to reach the lot where my car was parked.
-
Car Troubles in Yosemite - In Yosemite, my car's tires behaved strangely twice, spinning in one place—once on flat ground and again on an incline.
-
Rental Car Breakdown - While traveling to Texas, my rental car stopped working entirely. I had to call a towing company and return to the airport, which was an hour away. I spent the night at a nearby hotel and got a new rental car the next morning.
-
Lost on a Trail in Texas - I took a trail in Texas without paying attention to the signs and ended up getting lost. After two hours of walking up and down the mountain, I finally made my way back to the visitor center.
-
Navigating a Texas Trail - In Texas, I got lost on a trail and passed through a campsite and then an amphitheater. Ultimately, I reached the visitor center after traveling more than double the original trail distance.
